The disc granulator operates based on the principle of wet granulation. It transforms fine powder materials into uniform, round granules through continuous rolling, spraying, and agglomeration inside the rotating disc.
1.Material Feeding
The raw materials (such as organic fertilizer, sestavljeno gnojilo, or other powdered materials) are fed into the rotating disc through a conveyor or feeder.
Disc Rotation & Rolling:
The granulation disc rotates at a controlled speed, causing the materials inside to roll and collide, forming small granules.
The angle of the disc (typically 40°-55°) can be adjusted to control granule size.
2.Water Spraying & Agglomeration
A spraying system continuously sprays a controlled amount of water or binder onto the rolling particles, helping them stick together and grow.
The particles gradually increase in size as more fine powder attaches to them.
3.Granule Growth & Shaping
Due to the centrifugal force, gravity, and friction, the granules roll and polish themselves, becoming round and uniform in size.
Fine powder that does not form granules falls back and gets recycled.
4.Granule Discharge
Once the granules reach the desired size, they roll down to the discharge outlet and are transported to the drying process for further solidification.
